Ashwood Support Services was created in response to the growing need for high-quality, individualized supports for adults with developmental disabilities. With extensive experience in the developmental services sector, we understand how important it is for supports to be flexible, responsive, and truly centred around each individual.

Through years of working in the field, it became clear that many services are not designed to adapt to the unique goals, strengths, and needs of the people they support. Ashwood was established to provide supports that are personalized, flexible, and built around the individual, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

The name Ashwood was chosen intentionally. The ash tree is known for its strength, resilience, and flexibility. Its wood is strong yet adaptable, making it a fitting symbol for the kind of supports we believe in — supports that are dependable, responsive, and able to grow alongside the individuals we serve.
